suffolk 2006
In July we went on holiday to Suffolk, and stayed in a relatives house near Southwold.
Southwold is a lovely town on the coast not too far from Lowestoft.
As always the packing became a mammoth task involving squeezing my clothes in amongst the vast array of clothes my wife and daughter needed and the toys required to entertain a three year old!
(was there really a need for jumpers when the temperature was hitting almost 30°C most days?)
The time away went quickly, but we had a really good time.
The week involved a trip to Suffolk Wildlife Park which is excellent, numerous trips to Southwold beach as well as visiting friends and relatives who live in Suffolk.
We ate out most days and the Red Lion in town is worth a visit if your hungry, and the Brewers Fayre in Lowestoft scored well for having an excellent children's menu.
I can also recommend the local beer, Adnams, and if you want to try it without going to Suffolk then I believe some Tesco's stock it!
